With July coming at us like a white on rice, we want to invite you to help us send off June in Style and welcome Independence Day with open arms! This Thursday June 30th we will be posted up for a FREE concert with Aaron Flynn at the Shelburne Winery from 6:pm-8:30. And are extremely stoked to Announce we will be at the Montpelier Indepence Day celebration from 2:pm on Sunday July 3rd along side great FREE music, special games, other tasty vendors and some awesome fireworks. This will be our first time in the capital, and we’ll be packing the braised pork belly heat!
A special Thanks to Wanderlust at Stratton, VT for putting on this special event. From new friends to a rockin’ team, from long board loops to slinging noodles 14hours straight for 4 days, we had a blast (as we do) and are thankful for the opportunity to work in the beautiful Green Mountains. Next stop, Frendly Gathering. Bring your Frends, your cooler, and your hungry bellies, this is a must stop for any festival goer PLUS Miso Hungry will be there. Win, Win, and Win 🙂
Get your engines ready: starting this Friday Miso Hungry will be firing on all cylinders at the Shelburne Museum featuring Lake Street Dive. For this event we will be serving up steamy bowls of Authentic Ramen before, during, and after the show. This concert will be our launch pad into our summer season. We are beyond stoked for three reasons 1. Lake Street Dive is incredible 2. Our awning-front-face lift is almost complete and 3. We miss our fearless Ramenteurs!
THIS JUST IN: Momo’s mom secretly stashed 4 boxes of handmade dumplings in our freezer, and we are going to break the seal this weekend and chef ’em up with our Ramen in Newport, VT. The action goes live this Saturday from 5pm-7:30 at the United Christian Academy. We are helping UCA celebrate their 20th anniversary and will be alongside local community groups, carnival games, and live music from September Rain! The event is free, and incase you’re passing through Newport and want to enjoy the sun, music, and games (and maybe a few 2, 3, or 29 dumplings) this will be your last chance until March 2017
Tell a friend, tell a foe, tell every walking-smiling-crying Chittenden County person you know! Miso Hungry will be serving up steamy bowls of Ramen this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at the Switchback Brewery Taproom. On Saturday we will also be cheffing up Bratwurst and making a special German Style Ramen dish, for the Reinheitsgebot 500th anniversary. We’ll also be grilling Brats with Sauerkraut to pair nicely with $4 pints of Smoked Marzen beer all day!
Holy adventures, Batman! The first super hero move of the week will be an official Miso Hungry experimentation with variations on the first ever “Dumpling Cookie.” What does that mean, you ask? Come to Jay Peak this Saturday to the Tailgate Party to find out!
Like this but way more people and way warmer weather!
Our second somber yet celebratory adventure is to throw the first ever Ramengeddon! At our location on the sunset strip in Jay, VT we’ll be cranking noodles buy 1 bowl and get your second round 1/2 off ( Jay employees this also applies to the secret price you pay 😉 ). Here’s the plan: We bring extra tables, chairs, and love, and crank music and noodles in the sunshine with frisbees and kendama and any other lawn games we can find by then. Our goal is to keep everyone at the shop until the sun goes down or until we sell out of noodles. Refreshment will also be sacrificed in the name of the Ramengeddon. This will be our last day in Jay for the season!
Our last mission from the heavens is to announce our trip to Switchback Brewery next week April 21st-23rd. We will be open during Their taproom’s normal business hours. This also includes $4.00 Smoked Märzen pints Saturday all day for the Reinheitsgebot 500th anniversary! For this event we will be morphing into Weisso Hungry and will be interweaving German and Japanese cuisine! (Yes, of course it is possible). Don’t miss this rare adventure to Chittenden County
We look forward to seeing all of you! Shoot me in e-mail if you have any questions firstname.lastname@example.org or call/text me anytime 518-605-4474 🙂
To all those who helped slay Mama’s dumplings the last few weeks, Peace and thank you from Naoko. She wants us to send her appreciation to every satisfied belly, she had a blast, and is now back in route to Japan.
Although there will be no Gyoza for a good long while, we will be open slingin’ delicious steamy bowls of noodles this weekend Friday-Saturday-Sunday. AND, stay tuned in to our Facebook page, we are only a couple weeks out from announcing our summer schedule that is taking us all over the North East From the end of May-September.
Jordan and Momo
I know we are better than this but it is true… We lied to you, and are seriously apologetic for pulling on your heart strings but… we will be open this Saturday (no sunday) with Dumplings in Steamy Ramen. Momo’s mom has refused the Boston Symphony Orchestra because of her genuine stoke slingin’ dumplings in the shop. We’ll still get some coastal lobsta’ on Sunday, but Saturday it’ll be heads down and bottoms up. Don’t forget to bring personal refreshment to rinse down your noodles and Gyoza!
Here is a friendly reminder that this week Wednesday the 30th-Friday the 1st is your last chance to score some of Momo’s mother’s handmade “gyoza” dumplings. Naoko is only in town for a few more days and we really want you to experience a perfectly rolled rare slice of Japan. We will be open Wed-Fri this week Noon-6PM. And we will be closed Saturday and Sunday to take Momo’s mom on a trip to the coast for lobster!
To our fearless hungry and absolutely wonderful friends, both new and old, we are happy to announce the Prodigal Gyoza Chef is back this week! That’s right, Momo’s mom, Naoko, will be coming to visit us from Japan to grace Miso Hungry with her handmade secret gyoza dumpling recipe. Actually, she’s here to see Jay in spring, our smiling faces, and to drink Vermont beer… buuuut, she is also stoked to cook her delicious dumplings for all of our amazing friends.
The action goes live this weekend March 26th-27th, until she sells out. Come out and practice your Japanese and taste a rare chance of authentic handmade Gyoza!
